Grow a stunning crystal from scratch with the Toysmith Crystal Growing Box Kit! This DIY science kit includes everything kids need — crystal growth formula, a base rock, growing tray, magnifying glass and easy instructions — for a fun and educational experiment that creates real, colorful crystal formations.
The magnifying glass is a nice touch—my kids spent a good hour inspecting every little spike as the crystals formed over three days. Watching that first cluster pop up on the base rock felt like actual magic, and it kept their attention way longer than most kits.
My daughter was skeptical until we saw the first tiny sparkles form on the base rock by day two, and the magnifying glass made watching the growth feel like a real lab mission. The tray kept everything contained, so cleanup was a breeze. She’s already asking to do it again.
My daughter was skeptical at first, but watching the crystals actually form on the base rock over a few days felt like magic to her. The included magnifying glass got serious use, and the growing tray kept the mess contained on our kitchen counter. We're already planning a second one.
