Quick answer
Choose Chubby Kitties if you want a pocket-sized, color-choice squishy for fidgeting or gentle play. Choose Farm Fresh Chubby Barnyard Animal Squishies if you prefer animal variety and a lower price per figure for collecting and building a set.
Price and quantity: what you get for the cost
At catalog prices, Chubby Kitties cost USD 3.64 each (compared with USD 4.99), while Farm Fresh Chubby Barnyard Animal Squishies cost USD 3.34 each (compared with USD 4.99). The barnyard option is slightly cheaper per figure, which matters if you plan to buy several for a party favor bag or a small collection. The kitty option costs a little more per piece but offers a color choice, so you can match a favorite shade or split orange and baby blue between two kids.
Design and play style: fidget versus collect
Chubby Kitties are built around stress relief and fidgeting: soft, safe foam with stubby paws, round-tipped ears, and grinning faces. That makes them a natural fit for a desk, a backpack pocket, or a calm-down corner where a child needs something to squeeze.
Farm Fresh Chubby Barnyard Animal Squishies lean toward collectibility. The rounded animal figures have sweet expressions and playful details, and the animal option type means you can build a small farm set over time. If your child likes sorting, naming, and lining up figures, the barnyard crew gives more variety within the same squishy format.
Size and handling: little hands, small pockets
Both products are described as compact and sized for little hands, so neither is a large plush or a big sensory cushion. Chubby Kitties are explicitly pocket-sized, which suits travel and quick fidget breaks. The barnyard animals are sized for little hands but the catalog does not list exact dimensions, so if precise sizing matters for a specific age or storage spot, treat that as a decision limitation and check the product page before buying.
Key trade-offs to weigh
- Price per figure: The barnyard squishies are cheaper per figure at catalog price, so they stretch further for party favors or multi-child gifts. Chubby Kitties cost slightly more but include a color choice. Set a budget per child before choosing; the gap is small per piece but adds up across a group.
- Play pattern: Pick Chubby Kitties for fidgeting, stress relief, and pocket carry. Pick barnyard squishies for collecting, naming, and building a farm set.
- Variety versus consistency: Barnyard squishies offer animal variety, which can lead to repeat purchases to complete a set. Chubby Kitties offer two colors, so buying more is simpler but less varied. If you want a finite gift, the two-color kitty option is easier to buy once and finish.
